___Susanne Severeid, author of the award-winning murder mystery, The Death of Milly Mahoney, is a former TV presenter, actress and model. Her many-faceted career began at 19 as a fresh-faced model in Southern California. She worked her way up through major television commercials, becoming spokesperson for top accounts like Sprite, MacDonald's, Maxwell House Coffee to name a few.
___Susanne acted in popular TV shows and films (Howling IV, TJ Hooker, CHiPS, Sledgehammer!, Santa Barbara, etc.,) and also became a sought-after TV anchor and presenter, both in America and Europe, including hosting an EMMY Award-winning PBS-TV special.
___In her thirties, she moved from L.A. to Europe and taught public speaking at the University of Amsterdam, while continuing her performing career with a lead in one of the most popular European nighttime soaps (Good Times, Bad Times), and with her one-woman cabaret show on Marlene Dietrich. She anchored an international business news program and did countless voice-overs for major accounts. She was also the "face" for scores of corporate films, chaired top business conferences, and was an international radio journalist for World Broadcasting (100 million listeners worldwide).
___Susanne drew upon her own background as a young actress and model in Hollywood and living in Southern California and Malibu for the strong "sense of place" and characters of her first novel, The Death of Milly Mahoney.
___"I came across so many fascinating and colorful people at the time, some highly talented, some tragic, and I wanted to find a way to capture some of that. I also wanted to show the darker side of the Hollywood dream."
___Susanne now lives in Washington State with her family where she is busy working on her next book.
