The memoirs of Dutch Resistance fighter, Tonny van Renterghem, "The Last Hussar, Resistance without Bullets—
memories of World War II"—were recently published by Dutch publisher Conserve. The book reception on April 26,
2010, held at the Resistance Museum in Amsterdam, was standing room only.
Susanne Severeid, widow and life partner of Tonny for 34 years, assisted him in completing his book, and presented
the first copy of The Last Hussar to Cor Suijk, CEO Emeritus of the Anne Frank House.
